TRAVEL TO AND FROM THE JACKSON HOLE AREA

BY CAR

When coming from the east take Interstate 80 to Rawlins, WY and then Highway 287 north to Grand Teton National Park. When coming from the west take Interstate 80 to just east of Evanston, WY. Next take Highway 189 to Jackson, WY and then Highway 89 into the park. Signal Mountain Lodge is Located on Jackson Lake about 17 miles north of Moose, WY. Please note--if you are arriving before May 1st, the Inner Park Road ("Teton Park Road") will be closed, so you cannot get to SML via Moose Junction.  If you are coming from the town of Jackson, you must take Highway 89 all the way up to Moran Junction and enter the park through the east gate. Once in the park, turn left at Jackson Lake Junction and we will be 3 miles down the road on the right. The entrance gates may or may not be staffed when you arrive, but if they are just explain to the agent that you are arriving to work at Signal Mountain Lodge. It's a good idea to bring your commitment form with you to show the gate agent.

 

BY PLANE

The Jackson Hole Airport is currently served by United and Delta. If you arrive at the Jackson Hole Airport we will arrange transportation to Signal Mountain Lodge.

BY BUS

There are two bus companies serving the town of Jackson. The Mountain States Express offers service from Salt Lake City, Utah to the town of Jackson. It's also a good idea to check out the Salt Lake Express. (Greyhound transfers to the Salt Lake City Express.) We will arrange transportation from Signal Mountain Lodge from Jackson. 

Staff are responsible for their travel arrangements to and from Signal Mountain Lodge. Staff driving their own vehicle may park it in the staff parking lot in the dorm area. If you need a ride from to the lodge from either the Jackson Hole Airport of the town of Jackson, please notify HR as soon as possible.
